If you are looking for an economical solution for your home studio practice, consider adding the RM II 1822 to your home studio. This kiln has been designed with the maker of mid-sized works in mind, and can hold a few rows of larger forms, such as platters measuring up to about 15”, or taller forms up to about 21”. This kiln model features 2.5”-thick brick construction encased in sturdy stainless steel, and requires a 240-volt outlet. Users love the kiln’s side handles, which makes moving the RM II 1822 quite easy, and the lid’s wide handle makes opening your kiln a breeze. The lid can be propped in two different positions to vent your kiln as needed. The RM II 1822’s peepholes feature swing-away covers, so you don’t have to worry about separate spy plugs for your kiln. While the RM II 1822 can reach cone 8, please note that this model is only available in 240V. The RM II 1822 offers four options for your kiln controller -- the Icon, the Rampmaster II, the Icon+, or the TAP II touchscreen controller. You may also opt to order your RM II 1822 with the suggested furniture kit, which includes two 15.5” full shelves; one 15.5” half-shelf; four each of 1”, 2”, 3”, 4”, 5” and 6” kiln posts; and 1 lb. of kiln wash.
