This fine-grained, 200-mesh grog, which is the finest mesh size we carry; if you order it, you will see that the material is extremely powdery and fine, but is can still impart groggy technical qualities to your clay. This is a calcined mullite grog, used throughout the ceramic industry and available in a variety of mesh sizes. This grog can be added to throwing and sculpture clay bodies to increase working strength and reduce shrinkage. Adding grog to your clay also aids in drying thick pieces.
