Flexi-Bats are a fantastic tool for adding creative patterns to the bottom of your pottery pieces. With a textured puck, you can effortlessly incorporate beautiful detail into the base of your pots while you work!



The pucks are elevated off the bat, creating a 3mm impression in your pottery. This allows you to shape a foot around the design while you throw, eliminating the need for trimming a foot ring afterward. The puck measures 2.8 inches in diameter, and you can make the foot ring as wide as you desire. Since the bat forms both the pattern and the foot during the throwing process, it significantly reduces or even eliminates the time spent trimming. Each bat is designed to fit a standard 10" bat pin placement on a pottery wheel. The two smaller holes fit standard bat pins, while the two larger holes are wider to accommodate our additional grommets. The foam construction of the bat is absorbent and stretches to fit securely around your wheel's bat pins. The square shape of the bat ensures efficient storage when using multiple bats.

While Flexi-Bats are excellent for creating intricate designs on the foot of your pottery, they may require some practice and might not be the best choice for beginners. The flexible material of the bat allows the puck or mold to easily release from the clay, but this flexibility can pose a learning curve for those new to the tool.
