Founded in 1951, Mayco is one of the world's leading producers of quality ceramic products for ceramic hobbyists, DIY enthusiasts, potters, artists, schools and makers of fine ceramic table and giftware. This reliable brand has long been known as being a producer of quality ceramic glazes and other finishes. Mayco’s products are made in a 75,000-square-foot plant in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio, where they manufacture more than 600 different non-toxic and lead free glaze colors in a wide variety of finishes and textures. In addition to glazes and underglazes, Mayco’s product line includes acrylic stains, plaster molds, bisque, brushes and tools and a number of specialty products. Mayco Glazes are designed for low fire (cone 05-06), although some can be fired to mid range temperatures (cone 5-6) too. Mayco has created a reference and guide book designed with helpful information about each glaze series and tips on application. To view the guide book online, click here.
